The ancient cities of Uzbekistan were key entrepots on the Great Silk Road, which influenced the architecture and culture: the Registan in Samarkand, the Old City district in Bukhara, the Hast Imam ensemble and the Kalon Mosque. Uzbek cuisine includes world-famous plov, samsa and manty.
The country has a well-developed network of trains and buses, with large airports in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara. Uzbekistan attracts tourists with its rich heritage and friendly atmosphere.
