Kelsuu and Issyk-Kul lakes

For the holidays (Astana, the Capital Day) we have planned a trip to Kelsuu - the most beautiful lake in Central Asia. Also we will spend one day of the swimming season on Issyk-Kul Lake!

Travel dates: July 6-9, 2023.

Recruitment for a group of tourists is open in advance, we help guests obtain permission to visit the border area of the Kyrgyz Republic and China.

PROGRAM AND TIMING OF THE TRIP

Day 1, July 6th. Almaty - Kelsuu.
01:45. We gather in the parking lot of "Taurus" business center, the south-east corner of the Abay / Zharokov intersection, (Zharokova 124).
02:00. We leave for the border crossing Korday (210 km).
05:00. Passing the border of Kyrgyz Republic and Republic of Kazakhstan.
06:00. After passing, we have a snack with homemade food. Then we leave in Boom Gorge direction (130 km).
08:00. We will have breakfast at a roadside cafe, Boom Gorge, refueling cars.
09:00. Departure to Naryn city (170 km).
11:30. Upon arrival in Naryn, we receive passes for guests to the border zone of Kyrgyz Republic with China. We refuel again.
12.30. The final leg of the journey to Lake Kelsuu through the village of Akmuz (120 km).
15:00. Lunch in a hurry.
16:00. We pass two border control points (we do not enter China).
17:00. Passing Aksai river valley, we will stop at a small picturesque canyon.
20:00. We arrive in Kokkiya River valley, the vicinity of Kelsuu lake. Guests set up tents, drivers help with the installation. The cook is preparing dinner.
21:30. Dinner at the camp.
23:00. Overnight in the camp, in tents.

Day 2, July 7th. Kelsuu.
08:00. Breakfast at the camp.
09:00. Guests go to a small track to Kelsuu lake (3 km).
10:30. We reach the shore of the lake, free time.
13:00. Lunch in the boxes on the shore of the lake.
15:00. Returning to the camp (3 km).
19:00. Dinner at the camp.
20:00. Campfire chat.
23:00. Overnight in tents.

Day 3. July 8th. Kelsuu - Issyk-Kul.
06:00. Breakfast at the camp. Collection of tents, sleeping bags by guests.
09:00. We leave the Kokkiya valley towards Akmuz village (120 km).
13:00. Refueling in Naryn.
14:30. Lunch in boxes. Refueling in Kochkor village.
19:00. Arrival to the southern coast of Issyk-Kul. Beautiful sunset light.
20:00. Installation of the camp by guests, swimming.
21:00. Dinner at the camp.
23:00. Overnight in tents.

Day 4. July 9th. Issyk-Kul - Almaty.
08:00. Breakfast at the camp.
09:00. Collection of tents, sleeping bags by guests.
09:30 - 12:00. Free time, swimming, sunbathing under the sun of Issyk-Kul.
12:30. Departure to Karakol city (95 km).
14:00. Lunch at a cafe, Karakol city.
15:00. We leave for the Karkara border (110 km).
17:30. Border crossing, departure to Almaty (290 km).
22:00. Arrival in Almaty.

Quiet Bay, southern coast of Issyk-Kul

Information for the participants of the trip:

• obtaining a guest pass to the border zone of the Kyrgyz Republic (documents are submitted by the organizer 10 days before the date of visiting Lake Kelsuu),
• the average physical form of the guest and above,
• the absence of chronic diseases that can worsen with a long stay at an altitude of 3,500 meters above sea level (mountain sickness, problems with pressure, etc.).

Cost of participation in the trip:
Four-seater seating in a jeep - 170,000 KZT for one guest,
Triple seating in a jeep - 215,000 KZT for one guest.

Price includes:

• transfer on comfortable SUVs (4 guests in the car), Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Toyota Land Cruiser 100, Toyota Sequoia,
• services of an English-speaking guide-driver,
• itinerary of the trip (please see the tour schedule above),
• meals: dinner on the first day, breakfast, lunch and dinner on the second and third days, breakfast and lunch on the last day of the trip,
• overnight stay in triple tents for two guests,
• rental of tourist equipment (tables, chairs, washbasin, tents, mats, sleeping bags),
• ARZU drinking water for trip participants (1.5 liters/guest per day),
• organization of issuance of passes to the border zone of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
• insurance with a coverage limit of 1.5 million tenge, IC “Amanat”.

Additional options:

• travel on the front passenger seat of an SUV - an additional 15,000 tenge to the fare,
• renting a tent for overnight stay for one guest separately in a tent - an additional 7,000 tenge to the tariff.
